Week 33 - reflecting on loss after a sad week in Western Australia

Hi everyone, I hope you are safe and well.

Business as usual here in WA - our borders is kind of open now but shut ATM to South Australia due to a few cases there,

Victoria has gone from 700+ cases a day a few months ago to several weeks with no cases at all now. Just shows what you can do with a lockdown, curfew, and hard borders.

I still look at the news and am amazed and appalled at the numbers coming out of the USA and Europe. Trump seems to have shed what little compassion he had for the citizens of America as he pursues his childish quest to overturn an election…

Yesterday was my Mother-in-Law's funeral. Josefa was a beautiful lady who welcomed me into her extended family over 12 years ago like I should have been there all along. She lived for her kids and especially her 8 grandkids.

The family was everything to her and that was so apparent yesterday. I had the honor to be one of the pallbearers as we said our last goodbyes to her. In many ways, she was the heart and soul of her family and I’m not sure how the dynamics will work now.

We head to the end of what has been the worst of years and look at the millions of deaths around the world from this Virus.

Only when you lose someone close to you do you realize how much of an impact one life can have.

Stay safe, stay well, and look after your family and loved ones. Always.
