Lockdown 2 is going to finish this coming week, on 2nd December.
England has been put back into the 3-tier system depending on how the Covid rates have been in a particular area.
London is going to go back into Tier 2, which means all shops are open but pubs can only serve alcohol if a substantial meal is ordered at the same time.
Someone posted this on Facebook, which I thought was quite funny.
The R Rate – the rate of infection - in the UK has fallen below 1 for the first time in a long time but this is due to the enforced lockdown,
I have what is probably my last day's work of the year tomorrow and also the last day's work in my diary for the unforeseeable future.
January and February are always quiet but my hope is that because we have had such a bad year that the media industry will be playing catch up and something will come up. (Fingers crossed!)
The lack of work this year has meant that Christmas will be different this year. Apart from buying presents for my family, I usually get presents for a couple of close friends and their children and my godchildren.
I have had to tell them that I can’t afford to get them presents and the family has put a £10 limit on all presents. We are also still unsure if we will get together over Christmas and are going to make that decision nearer the time.
Anyway I have to get my work bag packed and ready for tomorrow so I wish you all a healthy week.
Sally x
